Major Spoiler for Tonight’s AEW Dynamite: Holiday Bash Episode

AEW filmed its Holiday Bash editions of Dynamite and Collision earlier today at the Co-op Live in Manchester, England. Now, a major spoiler has emerged on a big return that took place at today’s AEW Dynamite TV tapings.

Fightful that former AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) made his AEW TV return at today’s Dynamite tapings. MJF reportedly interrupted the AEW World Title match contract signing between Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and Hangman Page.

Additionally, MJF cashed in his existing Casino Gauntlet contract, adding himself to the AEW World Title bout scheduled for later this month at AEW Worlds End 2025. The wrestler explained that he’s cashing in and making the bout a Fatal 4-Way to prove he’s not a coward like Hangman previously claimed him to be.

MJF also addressed reigning AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, explaining how much he hates him for taking the title from him two years ago at the event. MJF also took shots at Swerve Strickland, comparing him to rapper P. Diddy and mentioning his WWE career, saying Swerve’s “rent is due.”

MJF has been off TV since losing a Table ‘n’ Tacks match to Mark Briscoe at AEW All Out 2025 in September. Now, he looks to make a statement by coming back and winning the AEW World Title at Worlds End.
