Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green Never Want a Couples Reality Show

While Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green have had fun working together in an on-camera angle, acknowledging their real-life marriage, the two recently revealed they want to keep it on the wrestling shows and not do any form of reality show about their out-of-the-ring life.
That’s a lot harder to do in an age where WWE depends on more backstage content than ever, and one might think that Cardona, who got himself over with a reality YouTube show years ago, would be a natural. Green was also one of the highlights of WWE Unreal, which arguably boosted her to the Championship when fans resented Michael Hayes saying she wasn’t a main eventer.
But they told Sam Roberts on SiriusXM exactly why a reality show would be a bad idea when he brought it up. “That’s terrifying,” said Green. “That would lead to a real-life divorce,” said Cardona.
“Nobody needs to know the fights that we have, like, not on camera,” added Green, which prompted Cardona to immediately describe one. “Look at my arm right now. Torn tricep. Career-threatening injury. Life-threatening injury. I’m trying to get ready all by myself,” he began. “He’s about to piss me off!” interjected Green.
“My wife is getting her glam done this morning, as she does,” Cardona continued. “And she deserves it. She’s the WWE women’s champion. I’ve tried to put deodorant on with one hand. It’s impossible. Trying to do my hair with one hand, put the brace on with one hand. And then my beautiful wife calls me. He said, ‘Hey, could you bring this bag and these clothes and these boots and these shoes and the title?’ I’m like, ‘I have one arm, babe.’ And that led to an argument.”
“I’m sorry, but the whole poor-me shtick is ridiculous,” retorted Green. “Okay, think about all the injuries I’ve had this year. It’s been a lot. I broke my ankle in two places. And what did I do for the next three days, Matt? I trekked around Disney with your family for three days with a broken leg. Okay. Then I got heart surgery. And then I broke my orbital bone.”
