The wrestling community is coming together in support of Tanea Brooks, aka Rebel, and her battle with ALS. AEW held a special edition of Dynamite last night with the Rebel Heart tribute show to support Rebel, and Mick Foley shared a statement on his Instagram account about the event.

The WWE Hall of Famer and former world champion shared a photo he took with Rebel at the event, which he praised as “one of the greatest things” he’s ever seen in professional wrestling. He wrote the following:

“A SPECIAL NIGHT FOR WRESTLING

In my 40 years in wrestling, I probably have a dozen moments that stand out in my mind as being so extraordinary that I will never forget them. Last night I had the honor of witnessing one of those moments. Watching @rebeltanea make her way to the ring, and roll away with @brittbaker in her lap was one of the greatest things I’ve seen in professional wrestling. Being in the audience when it happened, rushing backstage to see dozens of her colleagues surrounding her – many of them in tears – was beautiful to witness. Rebel has managed to uplift others even as she battles a devastating illness that has no cure. I’m proud and privileged to call her a friend.”

Mick Foley is currently signed to AEW as an on-air talent and broadcaster.
