Mike Bailey and Jack Perry met in a Continental Classic Match on Saturday’s AEW Collision, and Perry reacted to the result in a post-match video. Saturday’s show saw Perry pick up his first win in the tournament by defeating Bailey. Bailey is now 2-2 with six points, while Perry is 1-2 with three points.
AEW posted a video of Perry commenting on the win. He noted that he was feeling optimistic about his chances in the tournament now that he has a victory.
Perry said, “Well, my ankle feels like s**t. My mouth, it tastes like Speedball’s toes. But all in all, I’m pretty damn happy. Because I am finally on the board in the Continental Classic. That was three points right there. I got two more matches: PAC and Kyle Fletcher. And these guys are animals. One way or another, I think I might just find a way to take this whole thing home.”
Jack Perry would need to defeat both PAC and Fletcher to be in contention. That would put him at nine points and give him tiebreaker status over the two, as well as Bailey.
"It's do or die in the Gold League! It's anyone's ballgame. I've got one more shot!"
