Mike Santana Not Answering TNA Calls Reportedly a Work

Mike Santana not showing up at TNA Turning Point and not answering their calls is a work, according to a new report. As noted earlier, PWInsider reported that Santana was not at tonight’s Turning Point event in Full Sail University. The report added that Santana was not answering calls or texts by the company and did not attend his scheduled meet and greet after the Impact tapings. Santana lost the TNA World Title on Impact after an attack by NXT stars. Frankie Kazarian cashed in the Call Your Shot Trophy to win the title.

Fightful Select reports that the news about Santana not answering calls is a work. The report noted that an official at TNA attempted to pass them the news and “provided it elsewhere.”

PWInsider, who acknowledged in the initial report that it could be an angle, added that Santana is now backstage at Turning Point. He is scheduled to team with Steve Maclin against Nic Nemeth and Kazarian on tonight’s show.
