Mistico Defeats MJF, Wins CMLL World Light Heavyweight Title at 92nd Anniversary Show

Mistico dethroned AEW star Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF), winning his first CMLL World Light Heavyweight Title at last night’s CMLL 92nd Anniversary show. Mistico put his mask on the line against MJF’s title in a bloody battle and managed to walk away the victor, with his mask and the title belt.
MJF attempted to taunt Mistico, dressing as Homelander from The Boys during his entrance. Mistico ultimately forced MJF to submit to win the bout and title. MJF will now have to head straight to Toronto, as he has another big fight ahead of him later today against Mark Briscoe at AEW All Out 2025.
The CMLL event was held at Arena Mexico in Mexico City and streamed live on CMLL’s YouTube Channel and TrillerTV. Some images and clips are available below:
