Mistico Victorious Over Averno in Mask vs. Hair Match at CMLL 93rd Anniversary Show

Dual-contracted CMLL and AEW star Mistico survived the Mask vs. Hair challenge in the main event at last night’s CMLL 93rd Aniversario show.

Mistico and Averno initially teamed up in a four-way tag team elimination bout against the teams of Barbaro Cavernario & Dragon Rojo Jr., Templario and Ultimo Guerrero, and Star Jr. & Zandokan Jr. Mistico and Averno survived the match, earning the right to face off against each other in the headlining match, with Mistico’s mask on the line against Averno’s hair.

Mistico then won the matchup against Averno, who then had his head shaved. Some clips of the matchup that were shared on social media are also available below.

The 42-year-old former AEW World Trios Champion last wrestled in AEW at All In: London last month at Wembley Stadium. He competed in the Casino Gauntlet match for a shot at the AEW World Title. Andrade El Idolo won the bout.
