As previously reported, AEW World Champion Darby Allin declared that former champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF), must put his hair on the line if he wants a rematch for the title.

MJF declared on potentially losing his hair, “NOT GONNA HAPPEN! I’LL MAKE SURE OF IT!” He later added, “MY VERY REAL HAIR IS STAYING ON MY HEAD! STOP.” Even actor and comedian Kevin Nealon got in on the action, posting a photoshopped image of MJF without hair (see below).

Ultimately, the official AEW X account attempted to “intervene” on MJF’s behalf, telling fans to stop posting edited images of MJF without hair. AEW wrote on the posts, “@The_MJF is very insistent that everyone STOPS doing any photoshops of him without hair, and NO ONE does any more after @DarbyAllin’s proposed stipulation last night. So please, DO NOT do that. Thank you.”

As noted, Allin told MJF to come to a contract signing next week to agree to the stipulation. MJF was upset over the stipulation offered by Allin and headed to the back to end the segment.

For now, Darby Allin’s next two title defenses are slated to be against PAC and reigning International champion Kazuchika Okada. He faces PAC at AEW Collision: Fairway to Hell on Saturday, May 9 at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The title bout between Darby Allin and Kazuchika Okada is scheduled for AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, May 13. The show is being held at the Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville, North Carolina. It will be broadcast live on TBS starting at 8:00 pm ET.
