MJF is the new AEW World Champion. The Long Island native exacted his revenge on Samoa Joe from two years ago at the same event, Worlds End, pinning the Samoan Submission Machine after hitting the Heatseeker to claim the title.

The match was full of high-paced action, with each competitor bringing the fight to the other. The Opps interfered in the second half of the match, allowing Samoa Joe to hit the Muscle Buster on Hangman Page, but the former champ kicked out. Swerve Strickland, who dominated a major part of the match, took out Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs on the outside, while Hangman grabbed HOOK at the apron.

However, this allowed Joe to lock in his submission move. But Swerve came to Page’s rescue, taking out the defending champion with a Swerve Stomp. Strickland went for another Swerve Stomp but was knocked off by MJF. Hangman then knocked MJF off the apron and then landed two Buckshot Lariats on Samoa Joe. However, he couldn’t execute the third one, as MJF pushed Joe away and then landed a low blow on Page. Friedman ultimately executed the Heatseeker to earn a pinfall victory.
