Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling presented the annual Northern Rising event from Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on Saturday, October 3.

The event was headlined by AEW’s Adam Copeland, who went one-on-one with Steve Maclin in a Street Fight. The match saw interference from Maclin’s wife, Deonna Purrazzo, who took out the referee and sprayed Copeland with pepper spray. During the match, Copeland hit John Cena’s iconic Five Knuckle Shuffle and AA.

The Rated-R Superstar ultimately emerged victorious courtesy of a couple of Spears, including one through the ropes.

Elsewhere, Josh Alexander defeated Stu Grayson in a title unification match to become the Undisputed MLP Canadian Champion. The closing stretch of the match saw Don Callis toss a screwdriver to Alexander, who used it to escape the Nightfall. The Walking Weapon followed it up with two C4 Spikes to secure the victory.

The event also featured AEW National Champion Andrade El Idolo, who defeated Rohan Raja in singles competition. Additionally, the Grizzled Young Veterans defeated 1st Faction and Sinner & Saint to capture tag team gold.
