Ava’s time in WWE is at an end, and new reports give details on her decision to leave while noting WWE tried to entice her to stay. As reported on Friday, Ava announced that she had decided not to renew her deal with the company and was leaving, with last week’s NXT being her last appearance. She had served as the General Manager of WWE NXT since January 2024.
Dave Meltzer noted on last night’s WOR that Ava did not have any particular reason for not resigning other than she just “didn’t want to do it anymore.” Meltzer cited several people in the company as saying such.
Meltzer also noted that Ava’s girlfriend, Tatyanna Dumas, was recently cut by WWE, but it is not clear whether that factored into her decision to leave the company. It was made clear that, as Ava suggested in her announcement, the decision was hers, and WWE was not seeking to get rid of her. In fact, Bodyslam+ reports that according to sources, Ava was offered a pay increase to stay with them, but she turned it down.
There are those within WWE who believe she will end up working with her parents, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Dany Garcia, who own Seven Bucks production studio together and have produced most of The Rock’s films since 2017. Meltzer also separately alluded to this, saying that WWE “thought that she’s probably going to end up working there.”
