MVP recently reflected on his 2018 unsanctioned match with Low Ki at MLW Spring Break, which never made it to TV. The two battled in the “unsanctioned” bout at the March 2018 show and MVP talked about the bout in a recent episode of his Marking Out podcast with Dwayne Swayze. You can see some highlights below, per Fightful:
On the match itself: “I had a match with Low Ki at the nightclub in Orlando that they used to shoot at. Low Ki and I decided to do some cinematic-style samurai [stuff]. He had the Filipino fighting sticks, I had a kendo stick, and we were like fighting with the sticks. He was spinning the sticks at me and I picked up the chair blocking it. We had fun with it.”
On why it was never aired: “Why it never aired, I don’t know. That’s a question for the owner of MLW. I don’t remember what happened, I honestly don’t recall what happened.”
