MVP has pushed back against claims that The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP) refused to put talent over in All Elite Wrestling.
On Saturday, The Hurt Syndicate manager refuted a report that claimed that the trio “pushed back” against putting talent over, calling it a “blatant lie.”
“This is a blatant lie! ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE!!!!! Who is your source????”

In a separate post, he wrote that The Hurt Syndicate wanted to drop the AEW World Tag Team Championship to Private Party. Lashley and Benjamin captured the title from Private Party in January 2025 and ultimately dropped it to Brodido in a three-way match at Forbidden Door later that year.
“So I open up Twitter to see lies being reported about The Hurt Syndicate. BLATANT LIES!!! Who is the source of these lies? To the contrary, we wanted to work with younger talent! We wanted to drop the tag titles BACK to Private Party!!! STOP BELIEVING THE BS!” MVP wrote.

MVP then quoted a post that claimed that the rematch between Bobby Lashley and Swerve Strickland didn’t happen due to “creative differences.” Another screenshot from the same post claimed that MVP has backstage heat and that he’s been influencing Lashley and Benjamin to push back against pitches.
“Rumor? Nah man. You are absolutely Wrong!!!! None of this is true. But now I know where this whisper campaign is coming from! 😉”
In his final post, he wrote:
“Anyway, I hope most you have a magnificent Saturday! Those of you lying and spreading gossip founded on BS, have the day you deserve!”

The Hurt Syndicate last competed at AEW All In: London pre-show, where Lashley and Benjamin teamed with “Big Boom” AJ and QT Marshall and took on Shane Taylor Promotions in an eight-man tag team match. Lashley and Benjamin have wrestled just eight times this year, mostly on Collision. They did compete in the Stadium Stampede Match at Double or Nothing in May.
