Naito vs. SANADA Title Rematch, Nemeth vs. Finlay Set for NJPW The New Beginning in Sapporo

– NJPW has confirmed some huge title bouts for The New Beginning in Sapporo shows taking place next month on February 23 and February 24. On February 23, Nic Nemeth will challenge David Finlay for IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship, and former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle will face Hiroshi Tanahashi for the IWGP World TV Championship. Meanwhile, the following day will have Tetsuya Naito defending his newly won IWGP World Heavyweight Title against former champion SANADA.
Naito recently regained the title after beating SANADA at Wrestle Kingdom 18 earlier this month. NJPW The New Beginning in Sapporo: Night 1 will take place on February 23 at the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center Hokkai Kitayell in Hokkaido, Japan. Here’s the updated lineup:
* IWGP Global Championship Match: David Finlay (c) vs. Nic Nemeth
* NJPW World Television Championship Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) vs. Matt Riddle
* Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi, Yota Tsuji, Hiromu Takahashi, and BUSHI) vs. SANADA, Taichi, Yuya Uemura, DOUKI, and Taka Michinoku)
