NJPW Destruction in Kobe to Feature Three Championship Matches

NJPW has wasted little time in setting up their big matches heading into the autumn months of 2026. While Ryohei Oiwa’s challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship will take place on October 12 at King of Pro Wrestling, three title matches have been announced for NJPW’s big event leading into that show.

NJPW Destruction in Kobe will take place on September 27 at Kobe World Memorial Hall. As we reported earlier, the IWGP Heavyweight Championship will be on the line when Yota Tsuji defends against Hirooki Goto. The winner of that match will face Oiwa on October 12. The IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship will also be on the line in Kobe when Gabe Kidd makes his first defense of the title against Drilla Moloney. Konosuke Takeshita will also be there to defend the NJPW World TV Championship against Shun Skywalker.

Another match featured on the show will pit Callum Newman against the returning Jeff Cobb. Cobb appeared at the G1 Climax 36 Finals, attacking Newman and joining with Gedo’s Unbound Company.

Destruction in Kobe will stream on NJPW World with English commentary on September 27.
