WWE is doing a double taping for tonight’s WWE Raw including a Smackdown episode, and a new report has details on what will be taped. As reported last week, WWE is holding double tapings on both Monday and Friday. Both episodes will each tape an episode of Raw and an episode of Smackdown.
Wrestlevotes Live and Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select report that tonight’s Smackdown taping will be for the December 26th episode. Meanwhile, Friday’s taping will be for this week’s Smackdown and next weekl’s Raw. Sapp cites a source in WWE who said they “believe” that’s the case after WrestleVotes more definitively reported the matter.
The double tapings allow WWE to have a break from December 20th until December 26th, when the holiday tour begins in Baltimore. WWE then goes on its latest tour of Europe on January 8th. A source noted that December 26th through early February will be one of WWE’s busiest travel periods in recent memory. In addition to the European tour, WWE is going to Canada in late January and then Saudi Arabia for the Royal Rumble on January 31st.
So essentially, the taping schedule for this week and how those episodes will air is:
WWE Raw (December 15th): Tapes December 15th.
WWE Smackdown (December 19th): Tapes December 19th.
WWE Raw (December 22nd): Tapes December 19th.
WWE Smackdown (December 26th): Tapes December 15th.
411 will have live coverage of all the above shows, per usual.
