Tony D’Angelo made a huge impact on last night’s episode of NXT, as he attacked reigning NXT Champion Joe Hendry, Ricky Saints, and Ethan Page. Following that, Page and Saints barged into Interim General Manager Robert Stone’s room. During the conversation, Ethan Page recommended a first-time-ever singles match between Saints and D’Angelo for next Tuesday, and Stone subsequently made it official.
Following the events of last night, BodySlam+ has provided an update on the planned NXT Title match for Stand & Deliver. The website cited WWE sources as claiming that, as of today, Joe Hendry is set to defend his championship against Ricky Saints, Ethan Page, and Tony D’Angelo in a Fatal Four-Way match in St. Louis on April 4.
Tensions between Saints and Page mounted last night as they got into an argument before they attacked Hendry, only to be taken down, first by the NXT Champ and then Tony D’Angelo. The report notes that tensions between Page and Saints are expected to build in the lead-up to Stand & Deliver as D’Angelo seeks his second reason for returning to NXT.
D’Angelo vanquished DarkState at Vengeance Day earlier this month, defeating Dion Lennox in a highly brutal match. At the same show, Joe Hendry retained the NXT Title against Ricky Saints despite interference from Ethan Page.
Stand & Deliver 2026 will emanate from The Factory at The District in St. Louis, Missouri, on April 4.
