Oba Femi in the finals of the King of the Ring tournament, defeating Dominik Mysterio on WWE Raw before taking a verbal shot at Brock Lesnar. Femi battled Dominik Mysterio on Monday’s show in the main event, a semifinal match in the King of the Ring.
Despite help from JD McDonagh, Mysterio found himself at the mercy of Femi. Femi took a low blow from Mysterio at one point but in the end he hit both McDonagh and Mysterio with simultaneous chokeslam, took them out with running uppercuts in the corner, and then hit Fall From Grace on Mysterio for the win in about four and a half minutes.
After the match, Femi got on the mic and said that he was one match away from the Ruler having his crown. He then said that he would beat whoever he needs to, including Lesnar, and that he looked up to Lesnar as a man once but now he will be the Ruler and the King, and Lesnar will be the man who ran from him.
You can see clips from the match and post-match below. Femi will now face the winner of Jey Uso vs. Je’Von Evans in the finals of King of the Ring at WWE Night of Champions on June 27th in Saudi Arabia. The winner gets a world title shot at WWE SummerSlam.
