Oba Femi punched his ticket to the semifinals of WWE’s King of the Ring tournament on RAW. He won a four-way match against Solo Sikoa, Carmelo Hayes, and Penta.
During the bout, Talla Tonga made his presence felt and briefly took Femi out of the equation. The setback didn’t keep Femi down for long, though. Once he got back into the fight, he hit Tonga and sent him crashing onto the announce table at ringside. From there, Femi regained control and eventually pinned Solo Sikoa to secure the win.
After the match, Oba Femi grabbed a microphone and addressed his Clash in Italy opponent Brock Lesnar directly. He reminded everyone that he had taken Lesnar’s best shot and was still standing. Femi added that their score was now 1-1 and hinted that their rivalry may not be finished yet.
He will face the winner of the other semifinal qualifier, which features Dominik Mysterio, Bron Breakker, Trick Williams, and Damian Priest. The King of the Ring tournament will conclude at WWE Night of Champions, where the winner earns a world championship match at WWE SummerSlam.
“Brock Lesnar questioned me. He said, 'Oba Femi, what do you do after receiving an ass whooping? After receiving a beatdown? After taking seven F-5s?' I stand. I win. I took your best shot and I'm still here. You're a coward, Brock Lesnar. You never forgot that we're 1-1.”
