Opening Match Confirmed For WWE Clash in Italy

WWE has confirmed the opening bout of Sunday’s WWE Clash in Italy PLE. As noted, it was announced earlier this week that Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther for the Undisputed WWE Championship and Rhea Ripley defending the WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill would air during the first out on ESPN.
We now know which of those matches will take place first, as it was confirmed on WWE Smackdown that Rhodes and Gunther will kick off the broadcast. Joe Tessitore made the reveal during Friday’s show, which will air on USA Network tonight in the US in its usual timeslot.
WWE Clash In Italy takes place on May 31st at Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy. The lineup is:
* Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther.
* World Heavyweight Championship Tribal Combat: Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu.
* WWE Women’s Championship Match: Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill.
* WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca.
* Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi.
