Opening Matches Reportedly Set For WrestleMania 42

The opening bouts are set for both nights of WrestleMania 42, according to a new report. Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that according to the current plans, the six-man tag team match pitting Austin Theory, Logan Paul, and IShowSpeed against The Usos & LA Knight is set to open up night one of Wrestlemania on Saturday.

In addition, Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar is currently planned to open night two of WrestleMania on Sunday. As always, these plans are subject to change but as of right now these are the matches set to open the shows.

The report notes that ESPN pushed for Lesnar to be included in the matches that will be shown on their traditional platforms and that WWE was happy to comply.

WrestleMania 42 takes place on April 18th and 19th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will air live on ESPN Unlimited in the US and on Netflix internationally. The full card for both nights is:

* Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton
* Women’s World Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan
* WWE Women’s United States Championship Match: AJ Lee vs. Becky Lynch
* Seth Rollins vs. GUNTHER.
* WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship 4-Way Match: Lash Legend & Nia Jax vs. The Bellas vs. Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair vs. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria
* ESPN2: Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and I ShowSpeed vs. The Usos & LA Knight
