OVW Reportedly Planning on Follow-Up To Wrestlers Show That Streamed on Netflix

Fightful Select has an update on Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) television programming. The OVW Wrestlers show streamed its first season on Netflix, but it wasn’t renewed for another season. OVW boss Al Snow also recently announced that OVW plans to film another season of Wrestlers, or a show similar to it.

Fightful reports that OVW’s plan is to film the new show in-house and shop it out to potential distributors. Some of the talents in the first season of Wrestlers included Hollyhood Haley J, Mahabali Shera, Jessie Godderz, among others, and it was some of the first original wrestling content on Netflix. Although Netflix did not pick up Wrestlers for another season, the streamer reportedly briefly had the right of first refusal on OVW’s TV broadcast rights.

Also, Matt Jones reportedly stepped back from many of his OVW duties, and he handled much of the details of the first season of Wrestlers.
