Penta Announces AAA Rey de Reyes Tournament For 2026

As reported previously, WWE Superstar Penta was scheduled to make a special announcement on tonight’s AAA show. In a backstage segment on tonight’s episode, Cero Miedo recounted how it’s been 10 years since he won AAA’s Rey de Reyes tournament before announcing the format of this year’s edition.
The Mexican wrestler announced that there will be four Fatal Four-Way Qualifiers, and the winners of those bouts will clash in another Fatal Four-Way match. The winner of that match will not only earn the prestigious sword but will also receive an opportunity to challenge Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship.
Penta announced that he would present the sword to the winner of the 2026 Rey de Reyes tournament. AAA is set to present the annual show from Puebla City, Puebla, Mexico, on March 14.
One of the four qualifying matches is set to take place on next week’s episode of AAA, with La Parka battling Apollo Crews, Aerostar, and Jack Cartwheel.
