Persephone Defeats Julia Hart at Collision: Summer Blockbuster & Secures A Spot in Survival of the Fittest Match

Reigning CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone is headed to AEW’s first-ever Survival of the Fittest match.

On tonight’s episode of AEW Collision, Persephone went one-on-one with Julia Hart in a Survival of the Fittest Qualifying bout.

The closing moments of the match saw Julia Hart spit the poisonous mist that she had used so effectively in the past against the CMLL star. However, as she was about to spit it, Persephone slapped the black mist out of her mouth, resulting in Hart misting the mat. Persephone followed it up with a crucifix pin for the victory.

The CMLL World Women’s Champion joins multi-time AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida as a competitor in the upcoming Survival of the Fittest match for the vacant TBS Championship. Shida defeated Zayda Steel earlier in the show to book her place in the high-stakes match. The six-woman bout will take place on the July 1, 2026, episode of AEW Dynamite. The show will emanate from San Diego, California.
