Details On Powerhouse Hobbs’ New In-Ring Name After WWE Debut At Royal Rumble 2026

Former AEW star Powerhouse Hobbs finally made his WWE debut at the just-concluded Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. As widely reported, the former TNT Champion showed up as Royce Keys.
He entered the Men’s Royal Rumble at number 14 and took little time in showcasing his strength, eliminating former World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest in the process.
As previously reported, WWE recently filed to trademark the term ‘Royce Keys,’ and it was widely speculated to be Hobbs’ in-ring name going forward. Fightful Select has provided more details on Hobbs opting to use this name. This is because his youngest son is named Royce, while Keys is the maiden name of his late mother.
His real name is Hobson, and according to the report, using that was also on the table.
Keys fared well in his WWE debut, but he couldn’t win the Men’s Royal Rumble, as The Vision’s Bronson Reed eventually eliminated him. The 35-year-old ended his five-year stint with All Elite Wrestling earlier this month after opting against signing a new deal.
