Renee Paquette Had Conversations With Jon Moxley Over Holding AEW World Title Hostage

Renee Paquette says she doesn’t have a hard time at home over Jon Moxley’s actions on AEW TV. Paquette appeared on the post-AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door media scrum and during the post-show, when asked if Moxley’s actions as the Death Riders leader like holding the World Title hostage or attacking Will Ospreay leads to awkward moments away from the ring between the two, said that they have had conversations about her husband’s actions.

“No, it doesn’t,” she said when asked if Moxley’s actions make things more difficult at home. “I mean, kind of to Tony’s point, I was obviously a little bit more privy to Jon’s reasons for why he was doing the things that he was doing. And it’s hard to disagree with a lot of the things that he was saying that he wanted to do. And a lot of those conversations were conversations that were had behind closed doors of why that championship was being held hostage, why he was doing the things he was doing.”

She added, “My husband is my husband. That is my family and he is somebody that I can trust in wholeheartedly to make sure that things go the way that they are supposed to be going. So no, I mean, we’ve also very much so kept our careers pretty separate throughout the duration of our careers, being on camera together, working at different promotions together, etc. So I come to work and I do my job, and he goes to work and he stabs Darby in the ear with a fork.
