Rey Fenix Retains AAA Cruiserweight Title Ricky Saints On WWE Smackdown By DQ

Rey Fenix retained his AAA Cruiserweight Championship against Ricky Saints on WWE Smackdown, but not how he wanted to. Fenix and Saints did battle for the title on Friday night’s show, a match that ran a little over nine minutes before Saints managed to get disqualified.

The finish of the match saw Fenix go up top after a hurricanrana. Saints pushed the refree into the ropes to stop Fenix from coming up the top. Saints then hit the Roshambo but the referee refused to count the pin and disqualified him after an argument.

You can see a clip from the WWE Smackdown match below. Fenix has now been AAA Cruiserweight Champion for 140 days. He won the title from Laredo Kid at AAA Noche de Los Grandes on May 30th.
