Ric Flair has apologized for fans who weren’t happy with their Cameo experiences and promised to reimburse a fan. Flair took some backlash online in December when PEOPLE reported on a negative review he received for a Cameo request for a fan before his wedding day. The fan’s sister Tina paid $1,000 for the video, which Flair recorded in a bar and said, “I guess this is a beautiful gift, I’m not sure why… Oh bachelor gift? Gotcha, man.”
Flair then said that the fan shouldn’t get married, saying, “Don’t do it… Oh my god. Why would you get married, motherf**ker? It’s the worst possible commitment you could do, because after the day you get married, 50% of everything is hers. I don’t care how beautiful she is.”
Another review claimed that they spent $600 on a video and that Flair was “blasted out of his mind,” alleging that Flair called their father “Barf” as opposed to “Buff.”
Flair posted to Twitter on Monday to apologize. He wrote:
“I wouldn’t want anyone to have a bad experience as they keep pouring in. So to make things right, i am more than happy to reimburse the person that seems to be unhappy with their @Cameo. Please reach out to my law firm in Boston- Hartman Law. I apologize for not addressing this sooner.”
Flair recently filed a federal lawsuit along with Mike Tyson against former executives of cannabis company Carma, accusing them of “a brazen RICO conspiracy involving criminal wire fraud, embezzlement, money laundering, and extortion, as well as securities fraud and shameless self-dealing that enriched the Defendants to the tune of tens of millions of dollars.”
