Ricochet Earns Spot In Clockwork Carnage Match On AEW Dynamite

Ricochet will be part of the Clockwork Carnage match at AEW WrestleDream, winning a qualifying match on AEW Dynamite. The first match of the Collision hour on Wednesday night’s three-hour episode featured Ricochet taking on Ace Austin in a contest to qualify for the World Championship match at AEW WrestleDream.

Austin was an injury replacement for Jay White, and he took it as a chance to show what he could do against the former AEW National Champion. The two traded offense for much of the 11 minute-plus bout, which came to an end soon after Ricochet kicked out of a nearfall. Austin went for The Fold in order to win the match, but Ricochet headbutted him and then hit the Spirit Gun. He finished off Austin with the Vertigo to get the victory.

You can see clips from the AEW Dynamite match below. Ricochet joins Will Ospreay, Samoa Joe, Mike Bailey, Adam Copeland, Konosuke Takeshita, and Kazuchika Okada in the match, with one more set to qualify tonight. We’ll have an updated lineup for AEW WrestleDream after the show ends.
