WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi underwent an unexpected surgery recently, reports PWInsider. They note that the health issue that led to the surgery came up suddenly and that he is expected to make an announcement about his status soon. For now, he has been pulled off the upcoming events he was scheduled for so he can recover.
Rikishi was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014 after a successful run in WWE that saw him win the WWF Intercontinental Championship, the World Tag Team Championship, and the WWE Tag Team Championship. He was part of the popular Too Cool tag team with Scotty Too Hotty. After WWE, he had a brief stint in TNA Wrestling. He now hosts a podcast where he recently discussed WWE’s booking of Jacob Fatu as well as an Usos reunion.
Rikishi is the father of WWE superstars Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Solo Sikoa.
He’s also the co-owner of Knokx Pro Wrestling Academy, which became engulfed in controversy after the Raja Jackson incident earlier this year.
