As previously reported, Johnny Gargano became a trending topic on social media over the weekend, as yesterday marked the fourth anniversary of his surprise return on WWE Raw. Fans then started speculating about his WWE status when an X user claimed Gargano removed all references to WWE in his bio, but Gargano’s bio has been the same since 2021, and he’s reportedly still listed on WWE’s internal roster.
Now, WWE Hall of Famer and former creative lead Brian James, aka Road Dogg, commented on Gargano on his Facebook page. Road Dogg responded to a post taking note of Gargano’s surprise return on Monday Night Raw in 2022, which was announced or advertised ahead of time.
Road Dogg indicated that Johnny Gargano used to be “a Hunter guy,” referring to Triple H. He wrote, “Johnny was a Hunter guy, but I was too. The times they are a-changing. Time marches on!” You can view his post below.
Gargano last appeared on WWE TV on August 7, appearing in a segment with Sami Zayn and CM Punk on WWE SmackDown. As previously noted, Gargano recently announced that his father is dealing with a cancer diagnosis.
