UFC star Michael Chandler will make a special appearance on WWE NXT on November 4. He will serve as the special guest enforcer for the unsanctioned match between Dion Lennox and Cruz Montana.
NXT General Manager Robert Stone confirmed the announcement after Michael Chandler had offered to oversee the match earlier. The former three-time Bellator Lightweight Champion volunteered, citing his experience with unsanctioned fights. Stone offered to “jump on a call” and discussed it further.
They later confirmed the arrangement with another post. John Cena and Cody Rhodes are also scheduled to appear.
“It’s set in stone!!!! Not a better man for the job…no one is more unsanctioned than me,” Chandler wrote.
The November 4 episode of WWE NXT will air on Wednesday instead of its usual Tuesday slot because of election coverage. The show will go head-to-head with AEW’s Dynamite: Blood & Guts.
