Roman Reigns says that if the opportunity presents itself, he would love the chance to do more acting work. The World Heavyweight Champion appears in Street Fighter as Akuma, and he has previously dong a number of acting roles from Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw to a voice role in Zootopia 2.
Reigns spoke with Extra for a quick interview at the Street Fighter premiere, and said he would like to explore acting more when he can. You can see highlights below:
On Doing More Acting:
“I would love to. I mean, I’m a husband and father first, that’s always going to be my priority. WWE has been great to me; when I really needed a team to pick me up, they were the team that picked me up when I was down when I was a lot younger.
“But you can’t fall down your whole life, you know what I mean? Wrestling is a rough, rough way of earning a living, and I want to continue to explore these performing arts, these tools that I’ve sharpened and learned over the years. And if I can contribute and collaborate and then be a part of the creative process, I’d love to.”
On Which Boss He’d Want a Street Fighter-Like Fight With:
“Oh shoot, I don’t even know. That’s a tough one there. Yeah, that’s a tough one there. Well, I’ll go with Triple H right now. I think there’s a bunch of good bosses that I’ve had over the years. But he probably is the most equipped physically to handle a Street Fighter type of fight.”
