Ronda Rousey took to social media to promote her fight with Gina Carano on Netflix and took a shot at the UFC White House card in the process. As announced on last month, Rousey will face Carano on a card that will stream on Netflix on May 16th. The show has a new co-main event as MVP Promotions announced on Monday that Francis Ngannou will make his MMA return in a bout against Philipe Lins.

Rousey posted to Twitter on Monday to hype the card and took a swipe at the UFC show that is taking place at the White House in June.

Rousey wrote:

“#NgannouVsLins joins #RouseyVsCarano on @Netflix May 16th!

How’s THAT for a bamf laden double headliner?

That’s what happens when you put fighters and fans ahead of shareholders @MostVpromotions

P.S. @ufc’s White House card sucks”

Rousey said in an interview last month that she spoke with Dana White about having her fight with Carano under the UFC banner and he was on board, but that Carano needed more time and once she was ready the UFC passed. She noted:

“Gina needed more time. And it happened to go to the other side of when ESPN’s deal and their PPV model would be ending and they would be going to streaming [with Paramount]. And you know, they’re now a publicly traded company. And they — how do I put it? They didn’t want to set a precedent of giving me the guaranteed money that I deserve, because once I rise that raise that tide it lifts all the boats. And they just made a 7.7 billion dollar deal at Paramount. So it’s in their best interest actually not to put on the best fights possible, but to spend as little as money as possible so that he can keep it. Dana’s now legally obligated to maximize shareholder value.”

The UFC White House show is headline by title fights between Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje and Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane.
