The former Santos Escobar becomes a free agent in a couple of days, and he took to social media to post a message referencing Triple H and Nick Khan. Escobar was among those on the WWE roster who were cut back at the end of April, and becomes a free agent on July 23rd.
Escobar, now operating under the name of Hijo Del Fantasma, posted to his Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon. He said that he had no regrets about his time in WWE and was grateful to everyone there. He also vowed to become a bigger name in the industry and told Triple H and Khan to watch it happen.
Escobar wrote (translated from Spanish per Google):
“2 days: WWE. I gave everything and that’s what was taken—no regrets. Grateful for the people, the places, and the circumstances I was placed in. I will continue to grow my legend and my mark on the industry. Watch me, Paul and Nick.”
It was reported shortly after his exit that Santos Escobar was expected to have discussions with CMLL about joining the company. He had talks with the promotion when he briefly left WWE in October of last year.
