Saquon Shugars Defeats Dion Lennox At NXT Great American Bash, Attacked Post-Match

Saquon Shugars won his battle against Dion Lennox at the NXT Great American Bash, but Darkstate didn’t let him celebrate it long. Shugars battled his former ally in the stable at Sunday’s PLE, which aired on The CW.

The match, which was part of Shugars’ quest for revenge against the group for assaulting him and kicking him out, featured Culter James and Osiris Griffin making their presence known to distract Shugars and give Lennox control. Lennox targeted Shugars’ back but was unable to put him away despite several high-impact moves.

The finish came when Sugars fired back from a couple lariats with an enzuigiri and then a back elbow. He hit a splash to pick up the win. You can see a couple of clips from the Great American Bash match below.

Immediately after the match, Griffin and James attacked Shugars. The group beat Shugars down and left him lying.
