Saudi Arabia Wants The Rock To Headline WWE WrestleMania 43, Final Payment Number Reportedly Hinges On It

As previously noted, it’s rumored that Wrestlemania 43 will happen in Saudi Arabia in 2027, and the announcement is expected to be made later today.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the country is reportedly pushing for a main event of The Rock against Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns.
Sources for the General Entertainment Authority confirmed that the show is official. Negotiations for The Rock are said to be “advancing” and close to being done. WWE has yet to confirm any of this. The final payment for Wrestlemania will likely hinge on getting Rock in the main event. As for The Great One himself, it’s believed that his payoff will be much larger than any wrestler has ever earned for an event.
According to a source: “I can’t share with you the exact number but WWE asked for a higher number than $100 million as the show will feature The Rock (if the agreement is reached) and will be a packed mega stars show as the General Entertainment Authority requested.”
The Rock recently lost a lot of weight for a movie role, so he’d presumably have to bulk up again for a potential WWE return. He has not appeared on WWE TV since the Elimination Chamber in Toronto. During that time, Meltzer notes that Rock wanted Cody to turn heel and align with him, against John Cena, but WWE obviously opted to turn Cena heel instead and keep Cody the babyface.
