Seth Rollins Says He Will Return to WWE TV ‘When the Time is Right’

During a recent interview with ESPN Chicago’s Waddle and Silvy, WWE Superstar and former World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins spoke about his current absence from WWE TV, when he’s coming back, and more. Below are some highlights:

On Possibly Getting Into Football Broadcasting When His WWE Career is Over

“Yeah, I mean, I’m doing it while my career is still going on. So hopefully, well, I can get my foot in the door now, and you know come kind of be a part of the family that we’ve all sort of got, and you know once my in-ring career is tapped out, you know hopefully my mind still works and I can come out here and talk football with you boys. You know, I love it. It’s kind of a second passion for me, and so you know, it’s just so much fun. I mean, you guys know you get to get out there and talk football all the time. It’s just the best. I mean, what else would you want to do with your time, you know.”

On When He’ll Be Back on WWE TV

“No, I wish I could, honestly. You know, I’ve been off WWE television since SummerSlam. Had a title match with Roman Reigns in Minneapolis, lost that match, and yeah, I’m just taking my time right now, kind of focusing on other things, and at the end of the day, you know, I’ll come back when the time’s right. I was able to go down to South America a couple of weeks ago and do some non-televised events for the South American and Mexican fans down there, and really fantastic crowds. I mean, just unbelievable.

“Their passion for professional wrestling, what we do, is unparalleled, and they’re not spoiled like the American crowds; you know, they don’t get shows very often. I think the last time we were in some of those towns was six, seven, eight years ago. So, I mean, it was very special to be down there, and those fans showed up and showed out. And so, I hope that that was a sign to the higher-ups that we need to get back down there and do it a little bit more. But, as for me and Monday Night Raw, you know, I don’t know. The next time you can catch me, it’ll be on the NFL Network on Monday with my crew talking football.”

As he mentioned, Rollins recently worked the WWE South America Live Tour earlier this month. WWE has not announced when Seth Rollins will make his WWE TV return.
