Shotzi Blackheart recently looked back to her move to the indies after WWE and why she went to competing in deathmatches. The new TNA star was not shy about competing in hardcore matches on the indie scene, and she reflected on the matter in an appearance on Busted Open Radio.

Blackheart noted that she specifically chose a GCW deathmatch for her first indie match to step out of her comfort zone. You can see highlights below (per Wrestling Inc):

On the GCW Deathmatch:

“That’s why my first match going back to the indies was having a death match against GCW’s death match champion. That was my first match coming back to the indies. I went through glass. I was bleeding all over the place, because I wanted just that huge contrast of what WWE is and then just like showing everyone, ‘Hey, yo, I’m here to rock and roll. You’re seeing a different side of me. I’m not tamed anymore. I have been unleashed.'”

On Bully Ray Joking About a Putting Her Through A Flaming Table:

“Let’s go! Get out of retirement! I would love that. Please, let’s go. It would honestly be an honor. I’ve never done any fire spots.”
