Spike Dudley Recalls Paul Heyman Giving Balls Mahoney ‘Green Light’ To Attack PN News

On the latest episode of 1 Of A Kind, Spike Dudley shared a story about how Paul Heyman dealt with PN News, who was working stiff and taking liberties in the ring. This issue occurred after Spike worked with News. You can check out some highlights below:

On why he was brought in: “I remember Paul would bring in big guysm for me to kick them in the nuts and put him over.”

On the issue: “They brought him in for at the arena for a TV show. You know, he came out, he did his ‘Yo baby, yo baby.’ And the Philly audience just s**t on him, like in a good way. Like he had heat. He hit my music, and the crowd went nuts because they knew I was just going to come in and kick him in the balls and pin him, which is what I did. And then like, the week after we did house shows. And we put in a little bit of time. And we we did whatever, like 10 minutes opening or whatever. And he really pounded on me, like not working.

“And when I came back through the curtain, Paul was there. And Paul looked at was like, ‘How was he?’ And I was like, ‘Eh, he’s a little stiff.’ And I think for me to say somebody was stiff, especially at that time, he was like, ‘Yeah, that’s fucked up.’ because I never complained about anything, you know what I mean?”

Oh Heyman having Balls rough the guy up: “So the next night, Paul put him in there with Balls. And he pulled Balls aside and gave him the green light with a chair. And it was like, ‘Go for it.’ And Balls — I don’t think Paul even told him anything about me. It was just, Paul knew what was going to happen. So Balls put the chair over his head in the hole, and those were stiff metal chairs. He put it through his head and collapsed his nose. And that was the last time we saw PN News. I don’t have — you know, I don’t even have confirmation of this. But I think it was Paul going, ‘Hey, you’re taking liberties on one of our guys. Here’s what happens.’”
