Stephanie McMahon paid tribute to her father during her WWE Hall of Fame speech, which led to a “Thank You Vince” chant breaking out. Friday night’s ceremony kicked off with McMahon’s induction with her daughters Aurora, Murphy, and Vaughn and her mother Linda inducting her.
After they all spoke, Stephanie took the podium. She spoke about her life being part of WWE as long as she can remember and growing up with the likes of Andre the Giant, Iron Sheik and more around her. She then spoke about her family and said that Linda should be going into the Hall, noting, “If it weren’t for her — and of course, my father Vince McMahon — none of us would be here tonight. Especially me.”
That led to a “Thank You Vince” chant breaking out in the crowd as you can see below.
Later in the speech, McMahon touched on her brief time as co-CEO after Vince McMahon was forced out. She got emotional when she said that she thought she had lost her time in WWE but said that she was brought home and that WWE will always be home for everyone who has been part of the business.
She closed out her speech by going in character and doing a heel acceptance speech, calling out Sami Zayn specifically.
