WWE is inducting its first match into the WWE Hall of Fame in Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart from WrestleMania 13. It was announced on Smackdown, which is currently airing live overseas, that the match will be the first “Immortal Moment” inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 class. Both Hart and Austin will be in attendance for the ceremony.
The critically-acclaimed I Quit match saw Hart make Austin pass out to the Sharpshooter in the famed double turn moment and the image of a bloody Austin refusing to tap. Triple H also commented on the announcement, “The first Immortal Moment to be inducted into the @WWE Hall of Fame, what is considered one of the greatest matches in the history of this company. 28 years later and still as good as it was live. Congratulations @BretHart & @steveaustinBSR.”
The Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin WrestleMania 13 match joins Triple H, Lex Luger, Michelle McCool, and the Natural Disasters as announced inductees into this year’s Hall of Fame.
