Steven Borden reflected on the evolution of his pro wrestling journey ahead of his first-ever AEW PPV match at All Out: Chicago later today.
Borden will team with his father, Sting’s longtime partner and reigning AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin, to take on The Don Callis Family’s Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight in a future shot at the World Tag Team Championship.
Ahead of the pay-per-view, Steven Borden reflected on his pro wrestling journey, noting that he spent his whole life running from wrestling until he could no longer.
He said, “I’ve spent my whole life running from professional wrestling, but it eventually caught up to me. Then it stared right back into my face and pulled me in, and now, I’m running straight towards it.”
After working Dark matches for a better part of this year, Steven Borden made his televised AEW in-ring debut during the September 9 edition of Dynamite. He teamed with Darby to defeat Josh Alexander and Mark Davis.
On September 16, Borden and Darby teamed with World Tag Team Champions Cope and Cage to defeat Knight, Fletcher, and FTR in an eight-man tag. Check out his comments below:
