CM Punk and Kevin Owens’ battle on next week’s episode of WWE Smackdown will see the rules thrown out the window, as announced this week. As noted last week, Punk and Owens are set to compete on next week’s show as they try to put their feud to rest.
Now, the match will be more heated as it was announced on Friday’s episode that the match will be contested under a No Holds Barred stipulation. The two last faced off on the August 21st episode of Smackdown, where Punk defended the Undisputed WWE Championship against Owens. Owens helped cost Punk the title to Sami Zayn on the September 11th episode of the show.
Owens vs. Punk remains the only match announced for the November 6th episode of WWE Smackdown, which will be taped on November 2nd in a double taping with WWE Raw. The taping takes place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with the show airing that Friday on USA Network in the US and Netflix internationally.
