Backstage Details on Talent Reportedly Pushing For Gallus To Appear In AEW

Gallus is set to make their debuts for MLW later this month, and a new report says that several people in AEW pushed for them to appear there as well. MLW announced last week that Mark and Joe Coffey are set to be part of MLW Battle Riot VIII, which takes place on January 29th. The two are best known from their time in NXT as Gallus.

According to a report from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, the tag team were on AEW’s radar as well. The report notes that a number of talent in AEW pushed for the two to appear for the company in late 2025. The report does not have specifics on whether there was serious consideration by Tony Khan on bringing them in, though Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp noted that it is not confirmed whether they have signed contracts with MLW at this time.

The Coffey Brothers were teamed up with Wolfgang as Gallus in WWE NXT, and were planned for a main roster run at one point. That ultimately did not happen, and the trio were released from WWE in May.

Since their exits, the Coffey Brothers and Wolfgang have been working in the UK and European scene for promotions like ICW, Clan Wrestling, and BEW.
