TBS Title Qualifying Match Set For AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door Buy In

The final competitor in the TBS Championship Survival of the Fittest match will be determined at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Tony Khan announced on Twitter on Thursday evening that Skye Blue will battle STARDOM’s Maika in a qualifying match for the Survival of the Fittest match on the Buy In pre-show for Forbidden Door.

The match will determine who will join the previously-qualified Queen Aminata, Harley Cameron, Hikaru Shida, Persephone, and Kris Statlander in the match, which will take place on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite and will determine a new champion after Willow Nightingale vacated the title due to injury.

Maika has won multiple titles in STARDOM. She is a former World of Stardom Champion, Goddesses of Stardom Champion, a three-time Artist of Stardom Champion and a one-time Future of Stardom Champion. She was a founding member of the Donna Del Mondo stable with Giulia and Syuri, and the leader of Empress Nexus Venus which also included Hanako, Mina Shirakawa, Waka Tsukiyama and Xena. The latter group disbanded in February of 2026.

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door takes place on June 28th from San Jose, California at the SAP Center. The card for the event is:
