Tessa Blanchard is joining the major leagues, or rather, Major League Wrestling (MLW). MLW announced today that Blanchard has signed with the promotion, and she’ll be making her promotional debut later this month at MLW Fightland 2026.
Per the announcement: “Fiercely driven and impossible to overlook, Tessa Blanchard is a diamond forged under pressure: brilliant, unbreakable and always ready to cut through the competition in MLW.”
Speaking on the news via a press release, Blanchard commented, “Heavy is the crown, but legacy isn’t handed to you… It’s forged under pressure. I’ve earned my place as one of the best in the world at what I do, but I’m not coming to MLW to rest on the Blanchard name. MLW is bringing some of the purest, hardest-hitting action in the sport today, and the Undeniable Diamond belongs right at the top of it.”
A third-generation wrestler, Blanchard enters MLW’s highly competitive women’s division, with Shotzi Blackheart currently holding the MLW Women’s World Title. The highly decorated wrestler is a former TNA World Champion (formerly Impact Wrestling) and Knockouts World Champion. She’s also held titles in WOW and CMLL. Blanchard parted ways with TNA Wrestling earlier this year.
MLW Fightland 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, September 12 at the Festival Hall in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, paired with an MLW FUSION television taping and fueled by Don Gato Tequila. MLW FUSION airs for free on Saturday nights on YouTube and VEEPS, and streams on Mondays on NJPW World.
