In an interview with ESportsBets, The Godfather recalled going to strip clubs and casino with the Undertaker, losing a lot of money at the latter. Here are highlights:
On visiting strip clubs and casinos with the Undertaker: “80% of the time Taker and I would probably be at a strip club. We’d have our own section. We would have a good time, we would spend a lot of money. The bar would close, everybody would leave, and they’d usually let us stay in there and hang out a little bit longer, and get a little bit more private. We spent a lot of time in strip clubs. It was a different time back then. There was no social media, no laptops, no cell phones, they just came out with beepers. The whole card would go to strip clubs every night, and you would go there not only because of the girls, but because most of the guys were there to see the girls, not to see you so it was a good place to hang out and not get harassed, to be able to be yourself. We did that 80, 85% of the time. Casinos weren’t my thing, but one night it was my thing, and I think we both pulled out like 50Gs or something, and lost all that money. By the time we sobered up the next day, he’s like, did you see your American Express bill? And I’m like, yeah, I did, man. That was the one and only time I did something stupid like that. We were betting a thousand, two, five thousand dollars, $10,000 hands and s**t.”
On Vince McMahon not starting another wrestling company: “I can’t see Vince starting a rival organization. I could see him doing something in sports but as much money as Vince has, does he need to, or just keep being him? I don’t think he needs to, I don’t know why he would. I gotta keep my mouth shut on some stuff but he’s still young Vince McMahon, believe me. He still trains, he’s still active, he’s living the life. I don’t know if he wants to even deal with society any more though. He’s 80 years old. I don’t know why he would. Dude’s got billions of dollars, why not just enjoy life?”
On having a shot with Undertaker and Booker T at Vince McMahon’s 80th birthday party: “We had a great time at Vince McMahon’s 80th birthday party. All first class. Vince rented out a whole hotel, so it was just us. I had a good time. A lot of friends there, a lot of people I haven’t seen in a long time. There was a cocktail party the night before. Me, Taker, Bruce Pritchard, Booker T and somebody else had a shot of Jack, and that’s the only shot I had. Then the next night they had the party, it was really fun. I had a great time. Vince, he’s still going, man, he looks good.”
On Hulk Hogan: “I didn’t know Terry (Hulk Hogan) that well. We were in different circles. He did a lot for wrestling in the 80s. He brought wrestling back in a time when it was dying, so he opened the doors up for a lot of things. He’s the man.”
