The Rock Sings Happy Birthday to His Daughter at D23 Legends Ceremony

As previously reported, former WWE Champion and TKO board member Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was part of this year’s class of new Disney Legends, and he received the prestigious award last weekend. During his acceptance speech, The Rock led the crowd to sing “Happy Birthday” to his oldest daughter, Simone Johnson (formerly Ava in WWE NXT).

In a post on his X account, The Rock commented on leading the crowd to sing “Happy Birthday” to his daughter. He wrote, “I think when you’re in a position of influence and power – whether it’s smaller scale or global – man we gotta use that power to create amazing experiences for people and make people feel good.”

The Rock continued, “THANK YOU from my heart to the thousands of people who joined me in singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my daughter Simone ❤️🎂 Creating unforgettable experiences and making people feel good. Very cool moment, and WE all did that. 🥂👊🏾🤍 Thank you @disney for the great honor.”
