The Wagner Brothers Advance In Dusty Classic On WWE NXT

The Wagner Brothers moved onto the semifinals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with a win on this week’s episode of WWE NXT. Tuesday night’s episode featured El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. & Galeno battling BirthRight’s Charlie Dempsey and Uriah Connors in a quarterfinals match in the tournament as its first match.

The match lasted almost nine and a half minutes, with two teams trading control in the early moments as Wagner Jr. and Dempsey went back and forth with technical moves. King and Galeno then tagged in and the AAA Tag Team Champions took control into the commercial break.

Things went back and forth a little longer before Zilla Fatu showed up and nailed Connors. Arianna Grace slapped Fatu and escaped into the ring, causing a bit of chaos. Ultimately, Wagner hit the Wagner Driver and Galeno tagged in for a frog splash to get the win and move on in the tournament.

You can see clips from the match below. The Wagner Brothers will face the winner of Hank & Tank vs. The Creed Brothers in the semifinals of the tournament.
